Shop Policies
Every plant is carefully inspected and packed before shipment. However, plants are living things. Minor transit stress such as slight leaf curl, drooping, or temporary yellowing can occur during shipping and is completely normal.
Most plants fully recover within 1–2 weeks of acclimating to their new environment with proper light and watering. This is not considered damage.
Orders are processed and shipped within 1–3 business days of purchase. I ship via UPS Ground, UPS 2-Day, and UPS Next Day Air. Please select your preferred method at checkout. If no preference is selected, your order will ship Ground by default.
I take care to pack every plant securely, but please note that shipping times are controlled by UPS and are not guaranteed by SoCo Plants once your package leaves my hands.
I ship year-round, but I closely monitor weather forecasts to protect your plants. During extreme heat or freezing temperatures, I may delay shipment by 1–2 days or recommend an expedited shipping upgrade.
Heat packs are available for purchase in my shop and are strongly recommended during cold months. A heat pack must be added to your order at checkout to be included with your shipment. I am not responsible for cold-related damage on orders shipped without a heat pack.
If you placed an order without a heat pack by mistake, please contact me immediately. Orders can typically be resolved in one of the following ways:
- Order cancellation and reorder — I can cancel your original order so you can place it again with a heat pack added to your cart.
- Separate heat pack purchase — If your order has not yet been processed, you may be able to purchase a heat pack separately and I will combine it with your shipment. Please message me to confirm this is possible before doing so.
If your plant arrives severely damaged or in unrecoverable condition (DOA), please contact me within 48 hours of delivery with the following:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the plant and packaging as received
- A brief description of the issue
I will review each case individually and offer a replacement, store credit, or partial refund as appropriate. Claims submitted after 48 hours or without photo documentation may not be eligible for resolution.
Due to the perishable nature of live plants, all sales are final. I do not accept returns. However, I stand behind the health of every plant I ship. If something goes wrong, please reach out and I will work with you to make it right (see Section 04).
Refunds for non-plant items (pots, accessories, etc.) may be considered on a case-by-case basis if the item arrives defective or damaged.
Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout. I am not responsible for delays, losses, or damage resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the buyer.
If your order is returned to me due to an address error, you may be responsible for re-shipping costs. For carrier delays caused by weather, volume surges, or other unforeseen events, I appreciate your patience as these are outside my control.
